The practice of yoga and mindfulness has shaped who I have become. Yoga has helped me heal from a serious injury, to get out of my head and into my body, to manage pain, and to experience life more fully. Ever since yoga came into my life, I feel inspired to help people connect to themselves and others more deeply. I have been fortunate to study with some amazing teachers. My teachers include Tiffany Cruikshank, Bill Mahoney, Douglas Brooks, Carlos Pomeda, Kathryn Budig, Sianna Sherman, Bridget Woods Kramer, Noah Mazé, Martin Kirk and Desiree Rumbaugh.
I see yoga and mindfulness as pathways to experiencing freedom in body, mind, and heart. It can change your attitude towards life, connect you to your inner wisdom and make you more resilient. I offer talks, group classes and one-on-one sessions to help you explore freedom in body, mind, and heart. I am trained in different styles of yoga and meditation, including Yoga Therapy, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Restorative Yoga. In my classes I emphasize finding freedom in the body through safety and alignment. You will learn techniques to become more centered, connected, present, self-compassionate and resilient.
If you are dealing with physical and/or mental challenges (e.g., stress, burn-out, loss or chronic pain), I can offer you one-on-one sessions to help you slow down and take care of yourself. I bring my experience as a coach into the sessions to help you feel safe, build trust in your body, and learn coping strategies to face your challenges with more ease.
